Is CBD Now A Staple Health Product (Or Lost Trend)?

CBD products

For the past few years, health websites and bloggers have been talking about cannabidiol (CBD) nonstop. They’ve been discussing the potential health benefits and making plenty of videos about CBD products. Due to all this excitement, many companies have decided to cash in with unique CBD-based products, which include everything from tinctures to edibles that are available for purchase over the internet or in health stores.

In fact, CBD products are starting to spread everywhere — and you can even find some in local supermarkets. CBD has become popular with audiences of all ages, and it’s even managed to separate itself from cannabis — rightfully so, considering CBD only contains the positive compounds and none of the psychoactive ones.

But as of late, CBD products have somewhat fallen off the radar. According to Google Trends, searches for CBD spiked during the latter half of 2021. Since the start of 2022, it’s taken a steep drop and now sits at a new low with a bit of growth — and this is just in the United States! Worldwide, searches for CBD are now as low as early 2020, which is a far cry from the massive growth that happened between 2017 and 2019. So this begs the question: has CBD become such a staple health product — or is it a trend that’s destined to fade away?

More CBD Products Exist Than Ever Before

These days, a simple search for CBD will reveal many different brands, such as Green Dolphin CBD, which offer a range of products. With so many new companies offering their own spin on CBD and creating unique items for sale — it can often be hard to choose. Gone are the days of purchasing CBD for medical use from a shady online website — nowadays, many reputable companies are selling CBD products on the internet and even in stores.

CBD is also being added to more products than ever before. From skin care products to beverages, you can find it in almost anything. This makes it extremely easy to add CBD to your daily routine without having to replace one of your daily staples. This is perhaps one of its biggest strengths: the fact that it doesn’t seem out of place or weird anymore to include CBD in your life. You can get some CBD oil and add it to your food and drinks — or purchase products that have CBD inside.

More CBD Research Is Now Available

There’s been an increase in the number of articles praising CBD for its effects. Whether it’s using it for anxiety or to treat unique health conditions, there are plenty of potential uses for CBD — and they’re growing by the year with more and more research. In addition, lots of people are starting to share their stories, especially as CBD starts to become a more common form of treatment. Even some professional health care specialists are now open to conversations regarding CBD.

More CBD research is being conducted in health areas involving insomnia, chronic pain, and even addiction. With this more and more verified scientific data, this could turn CBD into a strong treatment for a variety of conditions.

However, while most of this research has been promising, regulation is an entirely different matter. While those in the CBD industry have high hopes for FDA regulation on CBD products, there are still some bad actors to be on the lookout for, who have created fake or even harmful CBD products as a way to cash in on this trend. That’s why it can be much better to look for established brand names in the CBD space — and stay away from the scammers.

So, Should You Try CBD?

In the past, it would’ve been somewhat difficult to recommend using CBD products because there was a lack of research and many people were looking to make a quick buck off the hype. However, today much more reputable players are involved, which makes it much easier to recommend using certain CBD products, especially if you’re on the fence regarding their safety.

However, this doesn’t mean that you should immediately just go out and buy CBD. It is still considered a health supplement and not a replacement for good health, which means there are some benefits for some people. In other words, what works for a friend might not work for you. As such, always take these products with a critical mindset.

What makes CBD more recommendable today is its accessibility. CBD products can easily be purchased — and depending on your location, it could be a matter of just going to your local supermarket. Keep in mind that products will contain varying amounts of CBD compounds: some will only have a few drops worth, while others will have a much stronger dosage. Before you start taking CBD products, it’s important to consider the dosage of CBD that you should be taking. Find out what is recommended based on the condition that you’re trying to treat or the benefits you are looking for.

So while CBD may not exactly be a health staple yet, it’s also not a fading trend. There is certainly still a lot of interest in CBD products — and people all over the world are saying it has been helpful for their health.
