Brain Challenges: Memory and Dexterity

EducationHealthStories

Here’s two challenges for your brain to strengthen your memory and your dexterity. As your brain attempts challenging new tasks, it builds new connections. Enjoy!

Memory Challenge

Study the characters and symbols below for four seconds, then cover the page. How many letters and symbols can you remember? No peeking!

How many were you able to remember? Were you able to remember colors, as well? If you could remember more than eight, you have a good memory.

Dexterity Challenge

Extend your index fingers on both hands and place them on to the i mages below. Trace the line of the circle with your right index finger, and trace the triangle with your left index finger at the same time.

How was it? Was it easy for you? Then your brain is very flexible and ready to learn new things. If it was difficult, practice drawing in the air and try again.

As your brain attempts challenging new tasks, it builds new connections. Enjoy!
